About This Quote

The idea that there are only two genders is a misconception perpetuated by the media. However, gender does not define a person’s identity. The fact of the matter is there are many different sexual orientations and gender identities beyond the binary. For example, a biological male can be a woman or a man or a non-binary person.

A biologically female person can be a man, a non-binary person, or a woman. This does not mean that someone is not actually one or another of these things because their body may have been born into one of these genders but that individual still has the ability to identify as something else.
